At this free public event, scientists from the Allen Institute for Brain Science will discuss what we do and don't yet know about brain cells, potential applications of more detailed knowledge of brain cells and the Allen Institute's open cell type resources, and what tools and techniques the Allen Institute is using to attempt to fill these gaps in our understanding. Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in hands-on activities, such as a model of how we organize cell types data and real brain slices used in our research!Refreshments will be provided.This event will not be livestreamed, but a recording will be posted to the
Allen Institute YouTube channel
shortly after the event.Parking is available in the Allen Institute garage (entrance at 943 Roy St) but it will not be validated by us. The rate is $6.00 for the first hour, $3.00/additional hour. There is additional street parking around the building.
