Visitor access to Allen Institute facilities is invite‑only. Please contact your Allen Institute host to arrange your visit prior to arrival.

  • Paid visitor parking is limited and may not be available during public events. Guests requiring accessible parking may use the garage entrance on the Roy Street side of the building (943 Roy St).
  • Street parking is available nearby, and additional local parking options can be found via Parkopedia.

The Allen Institute is easily accessible by public transit, including the South Lake Union Streetcar and several Seattle bus routes:

40, 62, 63, 64, 70, 83, 309, and RapidRide C

arriving from sea‑tac/

Seattle‑Tacoma International Airport (SEA) is located approximately 16 miles south of the Allen Institute.

Ground transportation options include:

  • Light rail*
  • Uber and Lyft
  • Taxis

Ride‑share and taxi pickup are located on the 3rd‑floor parking garage at the airport.

*Please note: the Westlake light‑rail station is about one mile south of the Allen Institute. The walk is manageable, or visitors can transfer to a bus or the South Lake Union Streetcar.
