Omar Kana joined the institute in 2023. As a member of the imaging team, he works to develop statistical tools to understand the spatial specific mechanisms underlying Alzheimer’s. Omar previously completed a PhD in Pharmacology and Toxicology at Michigan State University, where he developed methods to predict transcriptomic changes associated with chemical perturbations at multiple doses. Prior to that, Omar completed a B.S. in Biochemistry from LSU, where he developed an algorithm to predict the draggability of proteins across the human proteome.
