Vayle Lafehr is a Research Associate II in the Neural Dynamics group. Prior to joining the institute, she completed her B.A. in Neuroscience at the University of Colorado Boulder (Spring 2023) and held an undergraduate research position investigating a thalamocortical circuit underlying stressor controllability and social dominance in rats.
Vayle is excited to be at Allen Institute where she continues to pursue her research interests in cortical dynamics and cognition using electrophysiology and optogenetics. Outside of work, she likes to paint, spend time outdoors, play video and card games, and drink coffee.
