Happy Halloween! Please enjoy this spooky jack-o-lantern-like brain image from our scientists. Although the slices from the Allen Mouse Brain Atlas are cut in a standardized fashion, sometimes tears happen and can result in some spooky images. The team that performs quality control checks spotted this 20x magnified mouse brain image from our patch-seq pipeline. This research is part of a holistic approach to classifying brain cell types; examining the shape, electrical properties and gene expression of individual neurons.
